A Snowy Gulvain

Had a snowy run up Gulvain today with Ian and the two dogs. Everyone got cold feet during the plod up (fell shoes in deep powder is not a good combination) but it was lots of fun running down through the deep snow and thankfully some stalkers had driven up and broken trail for the 6km approach which made the going easier to the bottom of the hill.

Unfortunately the blue skies did not last all day and by the time we got to the top (we didn’t set off until 11.30) the weather was beginning to come in and it was snowing heavily by the time we got back to the cars.

It must have been fairly hard going for Dylan to be sat down!

Great to see the hills covered in snow again and good to be out in it despite the occasional thigh deep snow drift and some very cold feet.
