Loch Ness Monster: The Evidence

Dylan the hostel labrador was swimming in Loch Ness the other day and got a bit spooked. Now anyone who has met Dylan will know he’s not a dog to easily get spooked, the only rational explanation we could find was that he saw the Loch Ness Monster.

We’ve not managed to catch the monster on camera yet but we always keep our eyes open just in case. Anyway, we had a bit of a google and found some photographic evidence…..

R.K. Wilson snapped this in 1934

Lachlan Stuart photo – 1951

Peter McNab – 1955

Sir Peter Scott got these in 1972  with special underwater equipment

and

Also from 1972 (a popular year)

Anthony  Shiels caught this in 1977

More recently, this was captured on google earth

We also found this from more recent times….

Now, we’re no expert but firstly, this is not even Loch Ness (where are the hills) and secondly, this is clearly a seal.

Anyway, just thought these might be of interest to any Nessie hunters out there, keep your eyes open, you never know what you might see!

The day you left for your honeymoon after your wedding caz, your brother and myself went to the loch ness experience. there is a video there with perhaps the funniest news item ever on.

I cannot tell people what it is, they will have to see it. But it does involve the chief white which in britain verbally abusing a swedish professor with a playground insult.

    Class.

My family and I had spent many years holidaying in Scotland. On one particular trip we visited Loch Ness and walked down to Urquart Castle. My brother and I were standing in an elevated position to the right of the castle looking down onto the loch. Within a few minutes of standing there we both were aware of a large outline of an animal swimming in a’gliding’ motion just under the surface of the water, coming from the right hand side to the left of the loch. The creature was huge with a long thin neck leading to a very large bulky body with 2 large flippers on either side of the body, with a shorter tappering tail at the rear. We were aware of the flippers moving and propelling the beast through the water at a good speed. When the beast moved to the left of the castle it was out of our sight. We heard loud splashing and when we got round to that side of the castle it had gone. It is an experience both of us will never forget. We guessed that the length of the creature was as big as the castle tower itself
